He Said...
Kickin' it off with a bang! I think this one is really funny. Being in a band I am lucky enough to get out in front of people on the weekends and do something that I am really passionate about. It is really just an excuse to hang out with my friends and have a bit of a fun. The reality of the situation is that I am a Father of 3 and a husband. I love doing what I do and like to think that I am pretty good at it.
When I actually have someone come up to me and ask me if I am taken or if I would be interested in hanging out with them I am genuinely flattered. As a 34 year old man it is a great boost to the ego when anyone still finds you remotely interesting. But in the end that's it. At this point I am pretty honest and up front about the fact that I am married and have kids.
I do however think that it is funny that on more than one occasion the fact that I am married hasn't fazed people but the fact that I have kids changes everything. I don't blame Andrea for being upset but I honestly think that there is nothing malicious about it. I think that in the end girls are now just acting the way guys have for years. It has become accepted that this is the way that people act.
I have also watched Andrea get a laugh out of drunk girls who are doing their best to sway in front of me while giving me the eye. I can think of one situation specifically where I had to close my eyes and pretend I was concentrating really hard on the song that I was singing to stop from laughing out loud.
All in all as I said I find it flattering and a good laugh which I think is all it is intended to be.
