This picture was taken the day Simon and I got married 5 years ago. In that time we have had ups and downs including three children and a flood that left us homeless for three months. The point here is that we made a commitment to each other in marriage and to us that means something.


Simon came home the other night from a Driven gig. He proceeded to tell me the story of a woman who hit on him. This is not where I fly into a jealous rage, in fact I generally find it humorous. This night however I got angry, not about someone making a pass at my husband but about the actions of some women today. When we got married we did so with the understanding that it would be for life. Yet there are women out there who don't give a second thought to making a pass at a man who has made that commitment. To add insult to injury, Simon was no longer appealing to this woman when she found out he had children. So it is alright to break up my marriage but not if I have kids? Come on! When did women lose their moral compass and have so little respect for themselves and others? I am certainly not perfect, as you will come to find out, but I cannot believe that is has become 'alright' and that marriage has lost it's significance to so many women. I am not trying to judge, if marriage is not for you okay, but don't try to break up mine!
